Checking into the new Hyatt across from the Denver Convention Center is a bit jarring. A young lady approaches and asks if you’d like to try their Automatic Check-In. I’m game. I was an early adopter of ATMs. I enjoy printing out my Southwest boarding pass the night before. I don’t even mind pumping my own gas because it’s faster than waiting for Joe to do it.
How do you feel about self-service hotel check-in? Especially if, like at the ATM, it’s faster than the traditional approach.

Self-service is the direction business is headed. At least for routine transactions. It’s a win-win situation. Tomorrow’s unworkshop will address what self-service learning looks like. I’ll report on what we come up with. What do you think we’ll find?
Let me repeat myself: Self-service Learning is the way of the future.
