Flakes

If you live your life swimming in information, it’s worth it to pause ever now and again to improve your stroke.

Skimming through the RSS listings on my flow page this evening, I came upon a post by Brent Shlenker that told me “Steve Woodruff and Karl Kapp put together a great aggregation of Training Blogs on PageFlakes.”

I like it! Pageflakes has a clean layout. Steve and Karl have set up feed pages for:

• learning & development
• elearning/technology
• professional organizations
• corporate blogs
• games/sims/innovation
• additional blogs
• about this portal
• edubloggers

Pageflakes has an “RSS view” as well as the individual flakes.

One major drawback for me is that Pageflakes doesn’t appear to have an RSS feed of its own. Pageflakes is a black hole in that regard. If Pageflakes/trainingblogs had a feed, I’d put it on my flow page to catch what was coming through.
