WOT?

At Web 2.0 Expo, a fellow turned me on to a service called WOT (web of trust) that warns you away from virus and malware sites, among others. I installed it and forgot it was there…until I was on an innocuous looking shareware site and received this alert:

I wanted to let you know that WOT has released a new colorblind accessible version. It has been designed to provide people with color vision deficiency a useful tool for safer surfing on the Web. With this new innovative software design, WOT is pushing the boundaries to higher industry standards for accessibility!

Please give WOT a try. Works on Firefox and IE. View the Web of Trust demo here.
